I’m Hanna Ali, I’m an award-winning newborn & motherhood visual storyteller for the nostalgic and the hopelessly romantic.
You are here because you’re looking for a natural style in-home photographer who will bring all the dreamy magic to your home with no cluttered props and unnatural baby posing. You are also looking for a wonderful experience with someone who can look after both a newborn, a rowdy toddler and a reluctatant partner. Most of all, you’re looking for a chance to be in the frame with your loved ones becuase you know how important these photos will be in years from now.

Few things, if anything, is as transformative as motherhood, how true to its core it becomes that your heart and lungs and entire soul seems to just be casually rolling, crawling, and running outside of your body. This love you feel; this indescribable all-encompassing love deserves more than the best efforts of your smartphone, more than the one hundredth selfie and more than blurry unflattering angles by a well-meaning partner. My sessions are relaxed but intentional with the most gentle of directions and suggestions, guiding you towards the best light and the best angles but with an understanding and deep belief that the best is always you as you are. My intent is to capture the moments in between what you think is “I’m ready now”, your child looking up at you for approval and recognition, the way you gently tuck your hair behind your ear. A mother’s gentle swaying of a baby, the details of a father’s hands holding on tightly. Hands tell a story all by themselves. I notice this. I notice you.
The goal won’t ever be to mould your story around my style; your authentic, natural connection is my brand. There is so much beauty in the way that you love each other and it is my deep privilege to witness this and capture it for you.

My promise to you is a safe space where you can be both at ease and yourself. A feeling of being unhurried and adored; surrounded by those you love and who love you. An organic baby-led and you-led experience where there is no pressure to perform, no forced smiles, no “say cheese” (unless that’s your favourite saying) where the only expectation is for you to be fully present in the moment and allow yourself to be seen.
