I’m Hanna Ali, I’m an award-winning Surrey-based newborn & motherhood visual storyteller for the nostalgic and the hopelessly romantic.
So who am I?
I am a hopeless romantic, a chaser of the nostalgic, forever seeking the dreamy and the good light. Most likely to be your hype girl; yes you absolutely can wear that, no you will never be too much. Not even a reluctant partner or a wild little one can stop you from getting the photos you deserve. A tamer of toddlers, a chunky baby thigh addict and a mama to two beautiful boys.
I know the pictures you really want, and I want them for you just as much.
Few things, if anything, is as transformative as motherhood, how true to its core it becomes that your heart and lungs and entire soul seems to just be casually rolling, crawling, and running outside of your body. This love you feel; this indescribable all-encompassing love deserves more than the best efforts of your smartphone, more than the one hundredth selfie and more than blurry unflattering angles by a well-meaning partner. This is your artistic experience, gifted to you through an endless supply of patience, years of experience and a keen eye that can spot a unique organic moment and capture it before it flees forever.

emotional connection
As a mother and as an artist I feel that my deep intensity of emotion is a gift
A gift that has allowed me to harness my deep sense of empathy and relatability that makes me want to go under the surface with everyone I meet. I crave connection and this desire to form a bond with people and relate has allowed me to produce some of my best work; an honest reflection on the world around us and how loved we truly actually are. That’s my vibe, if I had summarise it.
My Sessions
My sessions are relaxed but intentional with the most gentle of directions and suggestions; guiding you towards the best light and the best angles but with an understanding and deep belief that the best is always you as you are. My intent is to capture the moments in between what you think is “I’m ready now” - your child looking up at you for approval and recognition, the way you gently tuck your hair behind your ear. A mother’s gentle swaying of a baby, the details of a father’s hands holding on tightly. Hands tell a story all by themselves. I notice this. I notice you.
The goal won’t ever be to mould your story around my style; your authentic, natural connection means everything to me. There is so much beauty in the way that you love each other and it is my deep privilege to witness this and capture it for you.
