Somali Week Festival 2018 has now ended and it’s been an incredible 10th Anniversary of which I was the Festival Director and it was a complete success, my personal highlight being that the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan opened the Festival. Highlight videos can be viewed regarding the Opening Launch here and the conclusion highlight here.
I’m doing my very first Ted Talk on October 31st!
I did my first Book Club on Saturday which was completely sold out with people standing on both corners of the room and it was a fantastic opportunity to interact with my readers and discuss some of the themes in my book. The Story of Us Limited Edition is available now at Market FiftyFour!

It was great fun taking part in ReadFest 2018 in Barking and very inspiring to have met so many amazing Somali women!
C’est moi! So honoured to be part of this list.
