Really excited to be leading on a brand new programme by Kayd after receiving a 2 year grant by Arts Council of England’s Elevate fund to create excellent art and partnerships with other Somali organisations in both London and other cities in England.

My short story collection The Story of Us is now on sale in interKontinental which has been described as “the agency for African literature in German-speaking countries. They represent and promote writers from the continent and the diaspora”. They also run the annual African Book Festival Berlin. Very exciting!

It was a great honour to a panellist in Accenture’s Black History Month that was closed to the public. So many important subjects touched upon in Black Muslim Identity.
